Hero Wouters is a Dutch artist active since 1950, known through his collaboration with the LEGENDARY PINK DOTS and Edward Ka-Spel and his appearances on the cult DING-DONG tape-label. The experimental analog pieces presented here were composed between 1982 and 1986 for a film and a theatre play and accordingly have a certain sountrack quality, intensely poetic and authentic the way the soundtrack of the Nekromantik films sometimes is. The atmosphere is both playful and gloomy, eerie and deeply moving... the kind of music you cannot ignore and which will make you shiver, maybe even cry. It has been a long time since we have felt such enthusiasm for a record.
