Gregory Whitehead is a writer, audio artist and director of conceptual communications for sea-crow media. Dead letters was WhiteheadÕs first acoustic feature. Since then, he has produced over 50 experimental documentaries and earplays, often beneath the guise of ultimately mistaken identities. Many of his subsequent essays and broadcasts have circled back upon themes related to those first disclosed in Dead letters: the uncertainties of communication, the concortions of memory and fate, the tantalizing boundary between utter opacity and sudden illumination.
